The Railings

The Railings is located in Bradford on Avon, to the South of the River Avon, on a site bounded by Frome road to the  West, St Margaret’s Street to the East and the railway to the North. The single storey kitchen block links the two storey blocks and helps form the crescent plan shape which shields the South facing private outdoor space from roads and railway.  The Southern roof slope of the kitchen block cannot be seen from the adjacent highways and is the location for solar panels, which help reduce the carbon footprint of the house.
